Established in 2006 we are pnline retailer of household goods that offers top quality products to customers through flexible weekly, fortnightly or monthly payment options. Reporting to the Head of I.T the principal responsibility of the role is to develop, maintain and implement data warehouse solutions and reporting services for our expanding digital business.

Responsibilities: • Participate in the Architecture Design, Configuration and Delivery of Data Warehouse and PowerBi Services on a per Project or Tactical basis for our internal departments • The post holder will ensure that the BI Service can meet the strategic, tactical, and operational reporting requirements through the provision of reporting solutions. • Support BI in understanding the capabilities of the Azure/SQL Services Stack, BI and Insight Services • Working hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate value and driving success from demo to proof-of-concept to design and implementation • Develop solutions to extract, load and transform data for end user consumption (solutions to include: changes to existing data feeds, creation of new data models and processes for data provision etc.) • Assist with the design, development and implementation of new BI reports • Analyse current data usage • Follow and contribute to improving coding standard, development best practice and other team activities • Review current reporting processes with a view to formalising and streamlining • Support in the design of BI solutions to meet business opportunities • Translate business requirements in to detailed specifications • Liaise with business partners to ensure timelines are maintained • Working closely with subject matter experts to broaden understanding of data management • Attending face-to-face client meetings across the UK to discuss requirements and scope • Create data links for various reporting services such as Crystal Reports, Microsoft Power BI and other reporting suites. • Build and support Azure SQL data warehouse to meet current and future needs • Design, build and document all the ETLs (Extract Transform Load) from both technical and business point of view • Maintain own skills to keep up to date with latest standards, using knowledge to recommend enhancements to BI and datasets. • Engaging with business partners to ensure service delivery is maintained • Ensure that deadlines are maintained for self and others that are relying on BI data • Improving data and reporting processes where possible • Carry out and support knowledge transfer to non-technical business partners Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years hands-on experience in designing, implementing and tuning data warehouse solutions • Data warehouse design and architecture patterns • Existing BI development experience • SQL database architecture knowledge • Working knowledge of IT systems • Data modelling competency • Strong communication skills • Proficient with reporting tools and systems • Adept at writing SQL queries • Ability to analyse and interpret data • Ability to co-ordinate and plan tasks and workloads • Ability to work to deadlines • Excellent written/oral skills, analytical, problem solving and presentation skills • Gravitas within and outside of your immediate team with stakeholders and customers • Self-driven with proven track record of independent working • An appetite to embrace change, operating within a fast-paced IT solution delivery environment •

Experience with SQL, DB2 Oracle database is highly desirable • Power BI and Business Objects experience is a bonus

This role is based at our in Leeds Thorpe Park office and the hours of work will cover shift patterns between the following; 8.00am – 8.00pm Monday – Friday 37.5 hours over a rota’d basis Benefits:
